At this time, I am pausing with offering the Sounding Circles at the Copper Top. If you are interested in sounding with others, please email me and let me know. If there is enough interest to begin them again, then we can take another look. The image depicted here is the form created when water placed upon a disk was exposed to the vibration of the human voice toning or sounding the vowel sound "U". The water organizes in response to the vibrations as they change in pitch and creates geometrical form. Cymatics is the study of sound and vibration made visible, typically on the surface of a plate, diaphragm or membrane. People have come together for millennia to create with sound. Let us gather as community and sound intentions of peace, love and gratitude from our resonate body temples out to all of creation. What beauty we can co-create!
How to Enter into the Sounding Circle
Enter into the Copper Top Church Building from the front doors. The Copper Chapel is immediately to your right. Please pause a moment before entering the Copper Chapel, turn off your cell phone, read the sign on the door for any specific intention that we are sounding, enter into the room quietly and either find a chair within the circle or join a community member seated on the floor in the center of the circle. Sitting back to back is a powerful vibratory experience.
Bring your awareness to your heart center. Allow feelings of appreciation to radiate from your being (if it is helpful, enter this state by thinking of someone or some place you appreciate, really seeing them, feeling how you feel in the presence of this person or place. You can also recall a memory of when you felt deep peace or think of a place that brings you feelings of peace, the intent here is to really embody feelings of love, gratitude and peace.). Intend to sound peace, love and gratitude to all of creation, seeing the planet and all of creation in radiance, thriving sustainably.
Begin sounding any vowel sounds that want to come through you (ah, aye, e, oh, ooo, uh). Allow yourself to feel and hear the harmonics co-created by the circle. This is something that just happens effortlessly. Each voice is special, each sound carrying purpose, weaving together a beautiful tapestry of peace, love and gratitude amplified by the Copper in the room and our sacred sounds carried beyond the beyond.
The sounding circle is complete with the singing of the bowl. Enjoy moments of silence together before you go. Leave quietly when you need to. Thank you!
World Sound Healing Day, Sunday, February 14th, 2018 at noon wherever you are!
We won't be gathering at the Chapel on Valentine's Day. But that is okay, we can join thousands throughout the planet for the 14th Annual WORLD SOUND HEALING DAY on Sunday, February 14, 2018 from our own homes! At 12 noon (local time in your time zone), sound forth for 5 minutes with the "AH", created and projected with the energy of compassion and love, sending a sonic valentine to Gaia, our Mother Earth.
